Welcome to the new school year 2017 - 2018!
Below you will find important information that will guide you and your child transition to this new school year.
Special class schedules:
- Art class - Monday
- World Language/ Spanish - Tuesday
- P.E. - Wednesday
- Computers class - Thursday
- Science lab - Thursday and Friday
- Music class - Friday
Please come on time!
Breakfast: 7:45 am – 8:00 am
Lunch: 10:45 am – 11:45am if you bring own lunch, please bring healthy lunch-No junk food please
School doors will be open at 7:30 am. Please do not drop off your child earlier than 7:30am. If your child has to miss school due to illness or emergency in the family, please bring a note when the child returns to school explaining the reason why your child was absent.
If you are sending money to school, please be sure to place it in the envelope, marked clearly with your child’s name, grade, the $ amount and what are you paying. $10 Scholastic Magazines fee is due on the first week of school.
Communication:
This year, our class will be using ClassDojo. It is a communication app that would help teacher connects with parents and students. I will use this app and the class website to send messages throughout the school year. Please download the app if you haven’t done so.
Reading Log:
In addition to our daily homework, please remember to read for 20 minutes a day, every day and fill out the reading log every night. Reading Log is due by the end of each month.
Student Folders:
- Take home- PURPLE folder
Please be sure to return all forms as soon as you can or before deadlines. All fieldtrip forms will need to be returned on or before the deadlines to guarantee spot. Parents who want to volunteer during field trips will need to go through background check.

100% possible point - homework completed and submitted on due date
10% deduction - incomplete homework/ homework submitted 1-2 days late (unless child was excused from school due to illness/ emergency in the family and return with a note)
O (zero) point - homework submitted more than 2 days late (unless child was excused from school due to illness/ emergency in the family and return with a note)
